Hay & Kilner invests in major IT upgrade

Leading Newcastle law firm, Hay & Kilner have invested in a significant upgrade to their current IT system to provide legal services in such a way that best suits their clients’ needs through the very best in technology.

After an in-depth series of demonstrations, Leeds based software supplier, Linetime Limited was appointed as the preferred supplier and their market leading Liberate SE system with integrated Business Intelligence module as the chosen solution.

Martin Soloman, Senior Partner at Hay & Kilner commented:
“We began our relationship with Linetime many years ago through the use of their Practice II system initially before changing to the Liberate Classic system which at the time was ideally suited to our needs. As our firm has expanded, however, so too has the need for technology. We have invested in Linetime’s Liberate SE software to stay ahead of the game and to support our lawyers in the delivery of effective legal services to our clients.

As we are holding all our information in one place, we can access management information with ease through the integrated Business Intelligence module. We can create our own reports and get pretty much any management information we want out of the system."

The Linetime systems are based on a single Microsoft SQL server database and integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange.

The case management system will provide the firm with a central source for all correspondence, documentation and emails. This provides ready access to all fee earners to allow them to support their clients and to ensure that service levels are met.

Tony Klejnow, Linetime's Managing Director said:
“We are delighted Hay & Kilner have chosen to upgrade to our Liberate SE software and are pleased that they recognise the benefits provided by one central Microsoft based platform. It is our policy at Linetime to work closely with all our customers in keeping them at the forefront of technology. We look forward to our continued strong and close relationship with Hay & Kilner.”
